South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: St Philips Christian College

VOYAGE NUMBER: 20161122

FROM: Port Stephens TO: Sydney

DATE: Day 2, 23 November 2016

POSITION: Refuge Cove, Broken Bay

Report by: White Watch

We started sailing at Nobby’s Head about 0630, continuing down past Redhead and Tuggerah reef into Broken Bay. The conditions started with a North-Easterly wind. About 30 mins to go into harbour the southerly front came through and the conditions got rougher as we got into the bay.

We moored in Refuge Cove at roughly 4:30pm/1630hrs, the seas calm from the broken headland. We then went for a swim at Refuge Cove Beach, climbed on the rocks and stood under the waterfall. After about an hour of swimming we returned to the boat and had dinner, beef stew. At 2130 we went to bed, ready for our next day and a trip to Sydney.
