South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Central Coast Steiner School

VOYAGE NUMBER: 20161205

FROM: Sydney TO: Sydney

DATE: Day 1, 6 December 2016

POSITION: Stores Beach, Sydney Harbour

Report by: White Watch

In the morning we woke at 5 am. We wrote in our blue book and we carried out the anchor watch then the rest of the group got up and together we polished the brass at the stern. All the teams participated in a knot tying competition and our group won.

We had a nice breakfast and after that we raised the headsails. Then we went round and round and round an island in Sydney Harbour and then we tacked over 1234567890 times.

We were also challenged by little to no winds making it difficult to sail fast, also meaning we had to use the motor a lot.  While we were sailing out to sea, we saw a little fairy penguin. We stopped at a beach and jumped off the side of the ship and rode the dinghy to the shore of a little beach.

TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY!
